Answers
- Soon. We’re working on it. In the meantime, all email requests should be sent to support@smallboxsoftware.net.
We’ll get back to work now. - Yes, but you will need to use smtp.telus.net as your outgoing server connection. This does not affect incoming mail, nor does it prevent you from using your Smallbox account in any way. It’s just one of those Telus things.
- Please see the user guide section for a copy of this guide.
- The Vacation message can only be sent to a given email address once per day. This is done both for convenience as well as to prevent a potential infinite loop cycle. For example, picture two vacation auto responders emailing each other back and forth. Things could get ugly pretty fast.

- Yes. Our Webmail can be accessed from http://www.smallboxsoftware.net/webmail. You will need your email username and password for login.
- What we need is a copy of the full email message header. Details on how to get the full email message header can be found at http://www.haltabuse.org/help/headers/
- The main reasons a file may be rejected are:
Blacklists
We subscribe to several blacklists. They reject email from users whose IP addresses are identified as being high sources of spam.Spam Filters
Your email may be rejected if your email has too many "spam-like" qualities. These include things like an image with no words, leet speak (fr33!!), lots of CAPITALIZED WORDS.
Viral File Types
Certain file types are commonly used to send viruses. Messages with any of the following file types will be rejected:- exe
- vbs
- pif
- scr
- bat
- cmd
- com
- cpl
- dll
Should an email be rejected for any of these reasons, the sender will be notified. - Help us, help you. Please include the following:
- Your email username
- Any error messages received
- When the issue started occurring
- Whether the issue is intermittent or constant
- This occasional delay in receiving email is due to Smallbox’s anti-spam measures. Let’s face it, nobody likes spam. We’ve got your back.
The first three times you get email from a new source, our anti-spam measures check things over to ensure everything’s legitimate*. After due diligence, they are considered to be trusted users and mail is delivered without further delay.
* Sadly nothing and nobody is perfect so if you feel you are not receiving email you should please let us know.
